At Microsoft Ignite 2018, Microsoft has announced a new way for learning Azure, Business Applications like Power BI and Dynamics and for Visual Studio called Microsoft Learn! Microsoft Learn delivers over 80 hours of learning material in 23 different languages and best of all – Microsoft Learn is free!
Right after the release of Microsoft learn it was already loaded with modules. At this time there are 74 modules coming from setting up your first virtual machine all the way to designing for security. You can browse in the learning catalog based on your job role (like Administrator, Developer or Architect), your knowledge level and/or the product you want to learn about.
If you are new to Azure and do not have an Azure subscription you’ll usually need to grab your credit card and mobile number to get going with an Azure account. This is probably something you do not want to do if you are just want to learn. So Microsoft has made it possible to start learning on Azure with a sandbox account without the need of a creditcard!
Next to the sandbox account the Azure CLI is also integrated in the learning environment, so you could work on your scripting knowledge – without the need of installing anything.
Are you ready with the module? Then preparehow-to-update-azure-powershell for the knowledge check!
Prepare for the new certifications with Microsoft Learn! Bookmark the learning page and come back regular as new modules will keep coming.
Let me know what you think and what your first learning opportunity will be.
